Celebrating Tradition, Crafting Identity
Welcome to BANI-THANI, where heritage meets haute couture. We specialize in Sanganeri print kurtas for men and women—each piece a testament to centuries-old artistry, now reimagined for the contemporary wardrobe.
Artistry from the Heart of Rajasthan
Originating in Sanganer—a historic town just south of Jaipur—Sanganeri block printing has flourished since the 16th and 17th centuries, born of the migration of skilled artisans from Gujarat during times of upheaval.
Known for its delicate floral motifs (called buttas), intricate vines, paisleys, and vibrant emblematic designs, this craft has become iconic in Indian textile heritage.
From its origins, Sanganeri print became a sought-after export during colonial times and has sustained its legacy through generations.
>Our Craftsmanship Etho :
Our kurtas are handcrafted using traditional Sanganeri block-printing techniques. We follow a time-honored process—preparing fabric, carving wooden printing blocks, and using natural or vibrant dyes to create the motifs that come alive with every stamp.
>Craft Archive :
Many prints feature the classic ‘Syahi-Begar’ style—bold black outlines (Syahi) paired with rich red fills (Begar) on pristine white fabrics—a style favored in ceremonial attire and known for its striking visual impact
Our Vision :
At BANI-THANI, we are dedicated to preserving and celebrating this timeless craft. We aim to provide beautifully handcrafted kurtas that help you express your style while carrying forward the cultural legacy of Rajasthan. Our mission is to connect modern consumers to artisanal traditions—one kurta at a time.
